About Our SRE Program
JET (Jeeyar Educational Trust) provides Special Religious Education (SRE) classes in public schools across NSW.
Our SRE program is designed under Prajna Educational Program to share values, culture, and spiritual knowledge in a way that is age-appropriate, inclusive, and engaging for children.

Curriculum & Review
JET SRE curriculum is derived from Prajna curriculum which is carefully structured to support the child’s moral and spiritual development.
The materials are reviewed and approved as per NSW SRE guidelines.
The curriculum is reviewed regularly to ensure relevance and alignment with NSW SRE guidelines.
Review cycle: Full curriculum revision every 4–5 years; interim updates as required

Teacher Authorisation & Training
All JET volunteer teachers are to be authorised by JET and approved by Department of education, hold a valid Working With Children Check, complete mandatory child protection training, code of conduct briefings, and scripture-specific pedagogy sessions before entering schools.
Ongoing professional development sessions are provided each term. We provide resources, lesson plans and classroom support for new teachers.
How we work with schools
JET SRE coordination team liaises with school coordinators to schedule classes and align lesson content with school timetables. We can provide trial lessons or new schools.

Concerns and Complaints
JET is committed to providing a safe, respectful and transparent Special Religious Education program. Parents, carers, schools and students are welcome to raise any concerns at any time.

Procedures:
All concerns are acknowledged within 3 business days. Every matter is reviewed by the JET SRE Coordinator and, where relevant, in consultation with the school. Outcomes and next steps are communicated respectfully and in confidence.
